Would I Benefit from Chin Pad Ptosis Correction?

Q: Dr. Eppley, I am  interested in chin ptosis correction. I had no previous chin surgery. I did have a neck lift ten years ago. Other than that, nothing specific to the chin

A:That appears to be a classic hyperdynamic chin pad ptosis. If there was a submental incision for the necklift that can be a cause of the ptosis as it acts as a fixed area under the chin due to the scar tissue. But most hyperdynamic ptoses are idiopathic, meaning there is no known cause.
