Will Lip Reduction Make My Nose Look Longer And My Chin Bigger?

Q: Dr. Eppley, I can’t help but feel that my lips are excessively “pouty” or too thick. It’s as if to me my entire lip structure juts out too much and overpowers my face. I don’t know if this is due to weak facial bones or it’s just because my lips are too big. Is there a way to do a full thickness lip reduction without causing disfigurement?

Will making my nose longer and jaw and chin bigger cause my lips to appear smaller? (This would be a positive change in my view).

A: Lip reduction is a common procedure and generally reduces lip size by about 1/3. If facial features around the lips get bigger by definition the lips MAY appear somewhat smaller.
