Will Jaw Augmentation Work If I Have A Deep Bite?

Q: Dr. Eppley, I suffer from a deep bite and the lower third of my face is smaller than the rest ( small face syndrome) so I would like get a proper symmetry by jaw augmentation if that would work?

A:The first important question with a deep bite is whether you should treat the primary problem with jaw repositioning surgery (double jaw surgery) or to camouflage the problem with implants and/or a bony genioplasty. Do you have any thoughts on that potential decision?
