What Can I Do After Two Failed Buccal Lipectomies?
Q: Dr. Eppley, i had buccal fat removal twice. Most recent one was 2 years ago so im over the swelling phase. The doctor claimed he took out all the fat but my face still looks fat in the area where ive drawn the red arrow.
What on earth is going on and please tell me theres something i can do.
A: Where you are indicating in the red arrows in your picture is NOT where the buccal fat pads are located. They are located much higher closer and their removal will have no effect on your indicated areas. There are the perioral mound areas which have to be treated by small cannula liposuction through a small incision inside the corner of the mouth.
