Should I Get A Frontal Hairline Advancement or a Hair Transplant?

Q: Dr. Eppley, If I just wanted to bring my hairline down where it peaks upwards. Does Dr. Eppley think a hair transplant or forehead reduction would be better?

A: While hair transplantation is one technique for creating a lower frontal hairline the frequent problem that I see from that technique is the lack of adequate hair density compared to the natural hairline behind it. Combined with the prolonged duration of time it takes to see the result from sufficient hair growth/length it is often an inferior approach to that of the frontal hairline advancement where the hair density is similar and the result is immediate.
