Is The Square Style Chin Implant A Good Choice For Me?

Q: Dr. Eppley, I want a more defined chin using an implant instead of genioplasty, and not sure if the Terino square chin is right for me, and wanted to consult with you. Thank you.

A: I assume the preference for an implant over a genioplasty is that you desire a more square chin shape over your current rounder more tapered chin shape. In that regard you are correct as only an implant can make the chin less round/wider/more square shaped. Of all the available standard chin implants only the Terino style has a wider less round shape. While a custom chin implant design provides the best control over all aspects of a chin implant’s shape if you had to use a standard implant the Terino would be your only choice.
