Is It Possible To Move The Eyeball Forward?

Q: Dr. Eppley,  Is there a solution for eyes with relatively no support? I have extremely deep set, sunken eyes. I am prone to lines and premature wrinkles. There is almost virtually no fat. From far away, they are “black holes”; shadows are cast.

I want youthful, forward eyes. It’s impossible to change the position of my eye (it is quite far back in the socket”, but perhaps there is a difference solution? Implants?”

Please let me know your thoughts,

A:Deep set eyes means that the eyeball position relative to the surrounding orbital rim is further back. Since the eye is tethered by the optic nerve its position can not be changed. Thus only the surrounding supralateral orbital rims can be reduced to make the eyes look less deep.
