How Long After Custom Jawline Implant Surgery Can I Leave The Country?
Q: Dr. Eppley, I’m reaching out to inquire about custom jawline implant procedures (CT-scan-based, CAD/CAM design) with Dr. Eppley. I‘d like to understand:
1. What the first step looks like — is a virtual consultation required before an in-person visit, or can I book directly for an in-person consult?
2. What imaging or records I should prepare in advance (CT scan requirements, photos, etc.)
3. Typical timeline from initial consultation to surgery date, given international travel
4. General guidance on cost range for a custom jaw/chin implant case
5. Recommended length of stay in the US post-op before flying home
Happy to provide any additional information needed to get started. Please let me know the best way to proceed.
A: In answer to your questions:
1) With the exception of the actual surgery the entire pre-and postoperative course is done virtually. This starts with a virtual consultation no inpatient vision is needed unless that is what the patient prefers to do.
2) A 3-D CT cranial facial scan is needed which is typically done in the patient’s home country. We send the order to you for it. The imaging facility will give it to you on a disk and that is what you mailed to us.
3) The typical timeline from virtual consultation to the actual surgery is usually in the three month range.
4) Most patients can return home within 5 to 7 days after the surgery.
