How Can My Pseudo Sagittal Crest Skull Deformity Be Fixed?

Q: Dr. Eppley, Based on what you described — that it is a pseudo sagittal crest caused by side deficiencies — I would like to ask your opinion on what you think would give the most balanced and natural-looking result.

I am looking for an improvement that makes the top of my head appear smoother and more even overall, not just a small reduction in the crest.

In your experience, would parasagittal augmentation alone be enough, or would a combination of crest reduction and augmentation be best?

A:As the attached imaging demonstrates, in which only bilateral parasagittal augmentation was done, the achievement of a smoother more even top of the head does not require any bone reduction at all. This imaging illustrates that what you have is a true pseudo sagittal crest, it only looks that way because the bone next to it is deficient.
