Can You Move One Eye Lower In Orbital Box Osteotomies?
Q: Dr. Eppley, I came across some of your answers regarding the modified subcranial 180 degree orbital osteotomy used to widen the eye distance by 3-4mm. My question about this is it possible to move the eye lower using this technique as well? To correct orbital/eye asymmetry if one eye is higher than the other and only 3-4mm of down move is needed. Thank you!
Q:You are referring to orbital decompression (lowering of the eye) which could be done at the same time as inferior orbital box osteotomies.
