Can These Bumps On My Forehead Be Reduced?

Q: Dr. Eppley, I’m a 26 old female and I write you because I have a concern about the shape of my forehead bone. I thought it was lack of fat and thin skin, because i can see bones in all my body, but I read one comment of you under the post of a girl with more or less the same case of me in which you was talking about frontal deformity. I would ask you if in my case it’s a deformity of the bone. Thank you and best regards

A:While you did not clarify your exact forehead shape concerns I am going to assume based on your pictures that you are referring to your forehead eminences also more commonly known as forehead horns. (paired upper forehead bumps) Whether that bothers you or not determines whether it is an aesthetic deformity. Presuming that it does those forehead horns can be reduced/burred down to have a smoother forehead contour.
