Can The Skull Overgrowths From Paget’s disease Be Treated?:
Q: Dr. Eppley, Is it possible to reshape a skull that is affected from Pagets disease?
A: I assume you are referring to reducing the exostoses or overgrowths that occur on the outer surface off the skull. Such exostoses are usually softer bone that is more vascular but they can be reduced. The more pertinent question is will they reoccur and/or are they more prone to reoccur because of the underlying pathology?
