Can The Posterior Zygomatic Arch Be Narrowed by 8mms?

Q: Dr. Eppley, I would like to know, is it possible to reduce the posterior zygomatic arch by 8 mm through a combination of an osteotomy and burring? Thank you!

A: Maybe. But it would require a 3D CT scan with measurements of the posterior arch and its temporal attachments to know for sure.
