Can The Length To Width Ratio of Custom Testicle Implants Be Changed?

Q: Dr. Eppley,  I have a few questions about testicular implants.

You mention that the wrap around implants are about 70% wide as they are long. I’m curious if that ratio could be changed if someone wants a rounder implant.

You also mention that the largest wrap around implants you have placed were 7.5cm. What if I wanted to go larger than that?

A: In answer to your testicle implant questions:

1) They are custom made so the ratio of length to width can be altered to whatever the patient wants.

2) 7.5cm testicle implants are an extremely large implant that has 130cc volume…which means a pair equals over 250ccs volume. It would be hard to imagine anything larger could even fit in any one. I am happy to do what the patient wants, my only concern is will it work or fit.
