Can The Fat Injected Into My Cheeks Be Removed?
Q: Dr. Eppley, I have my surgical notes it says 10ml each was injected into the cheekbones eyebrow and under eye. Pre op my cheekbones were quite sharp and I had a sub malar oallow (not sure if that’s helpful for dr Eppley to evaluate where the fat could be) my tear trough was very prominent also. It feels like the fat is hanging and puffy at the front of apple of cheeks which hopefully you can see in these photos.
A:Thank you for sending all of your information. The cheek areas where it is located is virtually impossible, or at the least ill-advised, to attempt any form of extraction which can only be done by micro-liposuction. Besides not being particularly effective there is a significant risk of irregularities from trying to do so…an aesthetic tradeoff you may not see as a good one.
