Can The Bone Grow Back After Skull Reduction Surgery?

Q: Dr. Eppley, I just want to get piece of mind that after the reduction of bone on skull it has zero chance of regrowing. 

A: In answer to your skull reduction concerns:

1. I have never seen bony regrowth in an adult.
2. After the bone is reduced it is covered with a layer of bone wax to prevent even a minimal amount of regrowth
