Can Skull Reduction Surgery Give Me A Standard Head Size?

Q: Dr. Eppley, I am a young male who was born with hydrocephalus. My head size is almost 28 inches in circumference. Thankfully I have not had any complications of any sort in my teenage and adult life. But as you can imagine it has restricted me from certain activities. I cannot fit any helmets, hard hats or ball caps. I would like to get a standard head size so that I can wear proper headgear for safety.
