Can Shoulder Narrowing Surgery Be Done Without Making the Shoulders Lower?
Q: Dr. Eppley, Is there a way to keep the shoulders at a normal height after shoulder narrowing surgery? I want the surgery but not if it makes my shoulders look lower and more sloped downwards. I want them to remain at the height they are at now but shortening the clavicle bone will make them look shorter and I want to avoid this. Thank you.
A: Wbat you are asking is the antithesis of how shoulder narrowing surgery works based on the natural shape and posirion of the clavicle bone.
