Can I Get Reduction of the Crown of My Skull?

Q: Dr. Eppley, Do you offer skull reduction on the crown? I am very insecure because I find my face is too tall and it would look better if it wasn’t.

A: Skull reduction of the crown area is not an uncommon request of which I have done many. The key question is whether your skull bone is thick enough to permit a significant reduction. This requires a 3-D skull CT scan with bone thickness color mapping to make that determination.
