Can I Get My Deep Labiomental Fold Removed?

Q: Dr. Eppley, Hi! I wanted to know if I could get some advice on what the best route would be for getting my chin fold removed. I have a pretty deep fold and paired with my thin lips it doesn’t look attractive at all. It’s my biggest insecurity. I was just wondering if fat grafting would be the best permanent option for me or if I should try something else instead? Any feedback is greatly appreciated. I have also attached an AI generated image of the result I would like to have

A:You have a deep labiomental fold for two very specific reasons. First you have an over projecting chin with a large soft tissue chin pad. With excessive horizontal projection even a normal labiomental fold is going to look deep. Secondly the labiomental fold is very highly positioned very close to under your lip which is also a direct reflection of the large chin projection. In essence this is a chin projection problem not really an isolated labiomental fold issue. The correct approach needs to be hey Chin reduction

involving both bone and soft tissue chin  pad done through a submental technique.
