Can I Get Lower Forearm/Wrist Implants?

Q: Dr. Eppley, I have skinny thin wrists. Is there a lower forearm implant possible for my hands.

A: You are referring to lower forearm or wrist implants. Custom implants can be made to go down the inner aspect of the forearm, but they cannot cross the risk increase. They have to be placed in the subcutaneous space as opposed to the more traditional sub facial location on top of the muscle as it’s done in the upper forum which does increase their risk of edge visibility.
