Can I Get An MRI with A Skull Implant With Screws?

Q: Dr. Eppley, Ihave my screws on my head implant is it safe to do an Mri or will the screws heat up. I read titanium is safe. I just wanted to double check Overall I am very happy with everything.

Thank you so much

A: Good to hear from you after all these years and I hope everything is well. For your skull implant you have titanium screws which are non-magnetic which means you are perfectly safe to have any type of imaging to your head whether it be a CT scan or MRI.
