Can I Get 8 Leg Implants?

Q: Dr. Eppley, I’m interested in having quad implant surgery. I’m based in London so have added logistical complication as no one based here seems to do it! Would it be possible to have a consultation to discuss the procedure and logistics of it etc and get your opinion on my specific situation? Thank you! Eugene

Here you go. I want bigger quad and calf volume. I’ve always stuggled building lower body muscle, especially as I get knee pain when trying to load weights. My body fat is low (around 12%) and so I wondering if I’d be more suitable for implants or non-surgical quad and calf contouring using structural adipose matrices (like AlloClae or Renuva), at least to begin with?

A: Thank you for your inquiry and sending your pictures, particularly your AI imaging too, which I can make the following comments:

1) the AI imaging is probably not a realistic outcome in terms of the magnitude of the changes. A more realistic change is probably halfway to 2/3 of what the iideal mage results shown..

2) the use of any non-surgical methods such as injectable fatter fillers is a total waste of resources as it is not going to create even 10% of the shown changes and the cost would be enormous for those materials. This is an implant and implant only project. To put that into perspective by volume eight leg implants, which is what you are ideal is showing, is adding volumes in the range of 800 cc. You could calculate the cost of the synthetic or cadaveric fat materials by comparison and at $500/cc you can quickly figure out why they are cost prohibitive besides they’re in effectiveness.

3) While a patient can get eight implant leg surgery I would not advise them to be done all at the same time. I have done so for several patients in the past, but this takes a special kind of patient who is prepared for the significant recovery and has had a prior surgical history so they know what to expect. But for you with no prior aesthetic surgery or implant related surgeyryhistory, you would need to do it in two stages separating above and below the knee implants.
