Can HA Paste Be Used For Brow Bone Augmentation?

Q: Dr. Eppley, Hello, I would like to know if there is a way of fixing high-set supraorbital rims, without using implants? I was wondering if HA Paste could be an alternative to lower them?

A: Implants are the only effective approach to lowering the shape of the high set supraorbital rims. HA paste would be the least efective method to do it as a soft material when mixed that has to set it has no ability to push the tight brow tissues lower in the set process. It requires a firm material in its crystallinization process.

Although to be completely accurate HA paste might be effective for this purpose IF a full coronal scalp incision was used for access and as well as a full release of the brow soft tissues. But the scalp scar in doing so may not be an acceptable asthetic tradeoff.
