Can An Occipital Skull Implant Remain In Place Over The Years Without Moving?

Q: Dr. Eppley, I have a problem and the back of the head is flat and I want it to be adjusted and from the back should be circularly acceptable

Is it possible to get good results?

Is the process safe and does not need hair remove?

Is the material that will be placed against the back of the head fixed and does not move with the years.

A: In answer to your occipital augmentation questions;

1) Most cases of occipital augmentation get good results based on how much the scalp can stretch to accommodate the implant.

2) No hair removal is needed to do the surgery.

3) The implant is fixed to the bone and will never move.
