Can A Subnasal Lip Lift and Mouth Widening Be Done At The Same Time?

Q: Dr. Eppley, I hope you are having a good day. I was wondering whether the lip transformation shown in the attached morph would be surgically achievable in your opinion. Based on the software I used, I estimated that the changes would involve approximately a 4 mm reduction in upper lip height and around 6 mm of lip widening through commissuroplasty. If these changes are feasible, I would also like to know whether both procedures could be performed during the same operation. Thank you for your time 

A: The combination of a subnasal lip lift with mouth widening is a common one, and both procedures are done at the same time. And looking at your pictures, I doubt the chain you have shown is only a 4 mm sub nasal lip lift. The mouth widening seems appropriate at 5 to 6 mm. But regardless of the movement numbers they can be performed together.
