Can A Second Sliding Genioplasty Be Done?

Q: Dr. Eppley, I previously got a lower jaw surgery as well as a sliding genioplasty for a total of 14mm of movement. I still have a weak chin, so wondering if Dr. Eppley would recommend a second genioplasty? For this second genioplasty, is it possible to do an additional say, 10mm? My initial genioplasty was 4mm. I am curious if there are risks with the second genioplasty, such as a limited amount of forward projection that can be done.

A: If the initial sliding genioplasty was only 4mms you should be able to have a second one for an additional 10mm movement.
