Can A Custom Skull Implant Create A More Square-Shaped Head?

Q: Dr. Eppley, I need a custom skull implant procedure. Can such an implant be made that creates a square shape without increasing the height of the head? 

A: Creating a more square-shaped head requires a custom skull implant that elevates the lateral bony temporal line. While such an implant will cross the sagittal midline of the head it would do so by only adding about 2 to 3mms of height in the middle…which I would call not really substantially increasing the height of the head.
