Can A Custom Forehead Implant Make My Forehead Less Sloped And Flatter?

Q: Dr. Eppley, I’m curious about a forehead implant. I am a young male and I look very young for my age, I have a round & sloped forehead and while I don’t dislike the slope I think the roundness gives me a childlike appearance. I’ve seen forehead implants that created a rounder less sloped head & i’m curious if it’s possible to create a custom implant that would create a flatter forehead. I still would prefer it to be somewhat slopped just flatter. Thanks

A: Thank you for your inquiry and describing your forehead reshaping objectives. One of the main advantages of any custom facial implant, including a custom forehead implant, is that they can be designed any way the patient wants. So having a forehead implant design that creates a flatter and less sloped forehead is certainly possible. As a general rule it is usually not a good idea to have a completely vertical forehead anyway for a variety of aesthetic reasons.
