Are You Sure That In Shoulder Narrowing Surgery The Shoulders Can Not Be Made To Be Lower?

Q: Dr. Eppley, Thank you for your prompt reply. You mean there is no way at all for shoulder narrowing to narrow the shoulders while at the same time avoid making the shoulders lower and more downwardly sloped? Even adjusting a different part of the clavicle bone won’t help? Of course, I’m all for shortening it but it would be nicer if I could have it shortened whilst maintaining its height, even if it meant more surgery. I’d really love to have it with you but the shoulders looking lower is a major concern of mine.

A: I refer you back to my original response. The vector of movement does not change regardless of where you are on the clavicle bone.
