Are Skull Implants Permanent?

Q: Dr. Eppley, Are skull implants permanent ? Any problems after the surgery and any precautions in one’s lifetime with them?

A: Skull implants are permanent and never need to be replaced. As long as one is happy with the initial aesthetic result there is no need to do anything with the implant for the rest of one’s lifetime.
