Age is irrelevant when it comes to rib removal surgery. What matters is one’s body type and are they favorable for good results from the surgery. In that regard I would need to see some pictures of your torso/body.
What you are asking is the difference between Type 1 and Type 2 rib removal surgery. Type 1 is where subtotal removal of ribs 11 and 12 are done. Type II is subtotal removal of ribs 10, 11 and 12 are done with a slightly different incisional location.
