Am I Too Old For Iliac Crest Reduction?

Q: Dr. Eppley, Male with prominent iliac crest . I am a 51-year old cis male interested in the iliac crest reduction procedure. Assuming no medical conditions or concerns revealed in a physical examination or in x-rays, would I be eligible for this procedure, given my age?

A:From my perspective age really has nothing to do with whether one can have iliac crest production. The question is not a chronological one but that of  effectiveness….meaning I would need to see some pictures of your hips to determine if you are a good candidate for the procedure.
