Am I A Good Candidate For Hip Implants?

Q: Dr. Eppley, Photos and goals were requested for Hip Augmentation.I really need Lipo and hip implants as well as breast implants.

A: The main concept to grasp about hip implants is that they have the highest complication/removal rate of any aesthetic body implant. There are numerous reasons why that is so but awareness of that inescapable issue allows one to understand how to approach hip implant augmentation.

Thus, my first advice would be if someone knows they need liposuction, and it is more than just a spot area, take that fat and first invest it in the hip area. While fat injections is an unpredictable procedure in terms of % survival it is worth that effort because it is complication free from a hip standpoint and one needs the fat removal done anyway. Even if the fat injection results are inadequate it prepares the hip area better to secondarily receive an implant and potentially lower their complication risks.

I can’t speak for your breast implant needs since I don’t know what your breasts look like.
